Overall Review

Wouldn't say its was a step up from previous cbr 600f. Appears built to a tighter budget. People have commented on the looks and colour scheme tri colour and generally been positive comments. Its simple to ride dealing with everything in an unflustered and unhurried manner.

Strengths

Good riding position, good compromise between comfort and control Handling is easygoing and inline four power curve is perfectly linear Polished fuelling and impressive ride quality Recently did a 260 mile day no wrist or back pain. Mirrors are crystal clear Not one missed gear or false neutral.

Weaknesses

Screen to short for wind deflection Extra 50cc puts it in higher tax band Suspension has less adjustability Steel not aluminium frame Fuel tank is smaller than last model Horn sits where the indicator switch should be Doesn't feel grunty need to drop a cog for overtakes Wife finds the seat hard but could get softer in time Small patch of vibes around 5500rpm not sure if this is a pro or con for the wife No centre stand or threads for paddock stand bobbins

Overall Review

Its not going to set the world alight with its speed or acceleration but it offers a very good comfortable commuter bike. I dare say on a long journey its also very comfortable as the seating position isn't too much on the hands and arms.

Strengths

Wing mirrors offer good visibility Nice clear dials, well digital dials Comfortable I'm 6ft and find the standard screen is fine Light and manoeuvrable

Weaknesses

Controls feel a bit plastic and fragile not much instant power wing mirrors are on short arms so cant see behind, yep a contradiction to my pro's
