A bike that's great to hoon on the track or the roads and also is capable of covering touring distances in relative comfort whilst still having a precise, sharp and focussed tool for the 'fun stuff'!
Strengths
Precise handling and lots of feedback and feel under braking, cornering or throttle out of the corners.
A naked sportsbike with a more comfortable riding position but that's every bit as fast on British A and B roads as most litre sports bikes up to the 100mph mark (not that it's legal to do so...). Fully adjustable suspension, traction control (particularly useful for the wet) and a Ducati perforance accessories list that is nearly endless!
Oh, and a beautiful soundtrack even on the standard cans...
Weaknesses
Limited choice of tyres due to the motoGP rear tyre 180/60 profile. That said the Pirelli Diablo Corsa Rosso tyres warm up quickly, have loads of feel and grip whilst reasonable longevity (3,000 miles out the rear).

Love it more each time I ride it. Could be a keeper as I've seen nothing on the road I like more.
Strengths
If you like a bike that's more than the sum of it's parts then welcome to the Ducati streetfighter. Looks mean and aggressive next to anything I've encountered and there's not a great deal of them on the road, so still quite exclusive. Tickle the starter and a fairly subdued engine sound emerges for a Duc, swing yer leg over and give it some beans and you'll be fired into the streetfighters 'others side' progressing rather swiftly with a great soundtrack from the exhaust. (It's the 1st Duc where I am happy with the standard pipes). Brakes are fab, handling fantastic, quality machine. V happy
Weaknesses
*Run in schedule was a pain
*Forward L twin head becomes the usual Ducati crud catcher
*should have pillion seat cover as standard
*adjustable rear suspension link like bigger Streetfighter would be a nice addition
*price.....you pay for exclusivity I suppose but it's not cheap

Good first impressions looking forward to some long runs
Strengths
Pros? Quite a lot. Strong, revvy (for a v-twin) engine plenty of pull. Handling is quick and precise and braking not excessive but enough to get intimate with the tank. Lovely rasp from standard exhaust when accelerating with some burbling on the over-run. Looks are personal and I never thought I'd own a yellow bike but opening the garage door raises a smile evry time.
Weaknesses
Exposure comes with the style - even with Ducati windshield. Although lots of legroom some forward sliding into the tank takes getting use to. Suspension excellent on the smooth but a bit choppy as standard on rough surfaces. Oh, and difficult to clean, especialy given non-existant front mudguard
To be honest I got bored, I had the bike for an hour but was back in the dealership after 40 minutes. I thought the Speed Triple R I rode the day after was a much more accomplished and enjoyable ride.
Strengths
Fairly quick, and easy to ride.
Stunning looks.
Weaknesses
Lots of vibration from the engine, not a very exciting bike to ride.

Weaknesses
engine sounds a little ruff at low revs in higher gears its a norm with ducatis, feel a little far forward on the handlbars

Easy to ride, great engine, sounds great!
Weaknesses
The price, but you get what you pay for I suppose. Not found any cons with ref to riding or build quality.
