Overall Review

A design exercise and curiosity that now sits in museums. The engine idea found its way into designs worldwide. However, the moleskin seat and the cork-rod dipstick thankfully never did. Still, if I had the dough, it might have been nice.

Strengths

It was the bike you wished you could afford and maintain. At a time when you could (and I did) buy a Triumph Bonneville new out the door for $2100, the MV cost about $6,500. What you got was exclusivity, a seat made of moleskin, (yep-moleskin) and phenomenal acceleration for its time.

Weaknesses

Just another stratosphere-priced machine, almost no dealers or dealer-support available.and get this......as astronomically priced as it was, the dipstick was nothing more than a rod attached to a cork plug. It probably left the people at Honda and Kawasaki scratching their heads wondering what were these people smoking when they designed this and put it out to market.
