New £475 Ruroc AT4.0 Carbon Gold Chrome has landed
Gold seems to be the ‘in’ colour right now, at least if you’re Ruroc that is, after the Gloucester-based company unveiled its latest gold-coloured helmet.

Ruroc is seemingly going for gold this summer after unveiling a new limited-edition AT4.0 Carbon Gold Chrome lid, which, according to the company’s website, is already sold out.

Priced just under the new Pulse Gold (£499) helmet at £475, the new Carbon Gold edition gets the same Rheon impact protection technology that’s quickly finding a home aboard many of the brand’s new arrivals.

Limited to just 200 units worldwide, the new helmet meets DOT and ECE 22.06 standards, and is compatible with both Shockwave and Cardo audio systems.
You could argue that the lid sets the new gold standard (badoomtish…) within the British company’s line-up based on looks alone, and that would probably be correct, although we’ll let you draw your own ‘goldclusions’.
For those of you wondering why the new helmet has been released as a limited edition, well, there’s a specific reason for this, which is centred around the complexity of the finish.

The said finish has been done entirely by hand, which includes an eight-nano painting process. To celebrate this, “every helmet will feature an individually numbered gold tag hand-stitched into the premium liner and a commemorative holofoil authentication sticker on the back of the shell”, says Ruroc. Additionally, the new helmet features a lightweight carbon fibre shell and a Fidlock magnetic strap for quick and easy removal.
The Carbon Gold Chrome is the latest new arrival following the above-mentioned Pulse Gold, which resides in the brand’s EOX range.

With the new lid currently sold out, it’s unclear if it will be back in stock anytime soon, although you can find out more about the helmet on the official Ruroc website.
