Sold out Ruroc Gold Chrome helmet is back in stock for £475
The hand-finished Ruroc AT4.0 Carbon Gold Chrome helmet sold out on launch, but it's now back on sale for £475.

The Ruroc AT4.0 Carbon Gold Chrome helmet has returned after selling out shortly after it first went on sale, giving riders another chance to get their hands on one of the firm's most eye-catching lids.

Priced at £475, the Gold Chrome is built around Ruroc's AT4.0 Carbon platform and features a hand-applied mirror gold finish created using an eight-stage nano-painting process. It's the same painstaking manufacturing technique that led to the original production run disappearing quickly when it launched earlier this year.

As before, each helmet carries an individually numbered gold tag stitched into the liner, along with a commemorative holographic authentication sticker. The helmet itself features a carbon fibre shell, RHEON impact protection, a Fidlock magnetic fastener and compatibility with both Ruroc's Shockwave audio system and Cardo intercoms.

When the helmet was first unveiled, Ruroc said the complexity of the finish meant production would be extremely limited. The original batch sold out, but the company has now reopened orders, although there's no indication how many helmets are available this time around.
If you fancied one the first time around but missed out, now's probably the time to move. Given how quickly the initial allocation disappeared, there's every chance this latest batch won't hang around for long.
