Clarke CMS3 Mechanic's Seat review

One often-overlooked aspect that can turn working on your bike in your home workshop or garage from a pleasure into a chore is discomfort. The prospect of having to sit on a dusty, cold concrete floor can make even the simplest task a pain. And while you can improve things by buying a foam work mat or lashing out on an elevating motorcycle work benches, one of the simplest, most affordable solutions is a mechanic’s seat.

The CMS3 Mechanics Seat by Clarke is one of a range of different types of exactly that which is offered by Machine Mart both online and in-store and, at a very affordable £33.59 offers, for many, possibly the best blend of features and value.

The CMS3 seat is lightweight and mobile (due to its strong castors with easy swivel ball bearings) yet is also robust and sturdy thanks to its strong steel frame which has a tough powder coated finish. It’s also rated for a weight limit of a hefty 113kg.

The rectangular seat is 390mm wide and thickly padded with a red, oil-resistant cover complete with black ‘Clarke’ logo. And underneath there’s a useful tool tray with three compartments so you’re able to keep every tool you need at a handy arm’s length.

Overall, it’s comfortable, sturdy, mobile and practical – and good value, too.

But don’t just take our word for it, the Clarke CMS3 Mechanics Seat has also received glowing ratings from buyers on Machine Mart’s own website, such as this, from Jeremy, who said:

“Nice product, robust and effective.”

Or this, from ‘Null’: “Good sturdy product for the price. Made doing the brakes much easier in comfort.”

We can only agree. For more information on the Clarke CMS3 Mechanics Seat or on other Clarke products go to Machine Mart’s official website.
