Family of jailed bikers Lindsay and Craig Foreman reveal meeting with Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband
The family of jailed motorcyclists Lindsay and Craig Foreman believe they are edging closer to freeing the couple, who have been detained since January 2025.

The family of detained bikers Lindsay and Craig Foreman has met with the Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, to discuss the couple’s immediate release from Iranian prison.
The British couple were arrested while travelling through Iran during an overland motorcycle journey towards Australia in January 2025, before being sentenced to 10 years in prison earlier this year.
The Sussex couple were convicted of espionage charges in February 2026 following more than a year in detention.
Both have consistently denied the allegations against them, while their family has been very active in trying to facilitate their release.

Bennett, the son of Lindsay Foreman, met with foreign secretary Ed Miliband on Tuesday to discuss the couple’s release from prison.
And although “nothing has changed” in regard to freeing the jailed bikers (at least not yet), the meeting was considered a positive one. Speaking to BBC Radio Kent, Bennett said:
"For him to hear it from us first-hand what it would mean to us as a family, I really do think he took it on board."
"Nothing has changed today, so there is a little bit of disappointment, but we feel that what we asked really did resonate with Ed.
"We are doing a good job, but at the core of it the two people who need to come home are still where they are."

Craig and Lindsay Foreman were originally detained after entering Iran from Armenia. The couple had been travelling with valid visas, an approved itinerary and a local guide as they crossed the country en route to Pakistan and eventually Australia.
