Already pitched as a do-it-all option for riders who spend as much time off the bike as on it, the latest version of the Stratos E-Dry combines waterproof protection, CE-certified safety features and a casual design intended to work just as well on a walk into town as it does on a weekend ride.

The headline change is the new pixel-style camouflage graphic, which joins the existing Black and Black/Red versions. Underneath the updated styling, however, the technical specification remains unchanged.

The shoe uses Eleveit's waterproof and breathable E-Dry membrane, designed to keep feet dry in wet weather while remaining comfortable during longer rides. The upper combines that membrane with Ripstop nylon fabric, a material commonly used in outdoor equipment thanks to its resistance to tearing and abrasion.

Protection has also been upgraded through the addition of Poron XRD inserts around the ankle. The material is already being rolled out across Eleveit's latest Urban and Touring collections and is designed to remain soft and flexible during normal use while absorbing impact energy in the event of a knock or fall.

Additional reinforcement is fitted around the heel and toe, while hard-wearing rubber inserts have been added to areas that see the most abuse, including the gear-shift contact patch and the outer side of the shoe.

One of the Stratos E-Dry's standout features remains its Extreme Light sole. According to Eleveit, a size 43 shoe tips the scales at just 510 grams, helping reduce fatigue during longer days in the saddle and making the shoe more comfortable to walk in once the bike is parked up. An EVA midsole is also used to help absorb vibrations and impacts.

Available in sizes 36 to 48, the new Black/Camo Eleveit Stratos E-Dry joins the existing colour options with a recommended retail price of €179.90 (around £154).
