Known as one of the more budget-friendly motorcycle helmet makers in the world, LS2 looks set to boost its global production in a major way after opening a new facility in Asia.

The new state-of-the-art factory has been opened just outside of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is a 30,000 square meter facility that will see LS2 produce up to 80,000 helmets per month.

LS2 says that opening the new factory comes as a result of rising demand for its products “particularly across the UK and Europe”.

As part of its acquisition, LS2 has invested approximately €8 million (around £7 million). The company goes on to say that it will focus heavily on the development of its advanced shell systems, as well as producing refined graphics, and optimising logistics so that helmets and other products arrive in dealerships quicker and smoother than before.

As part of a press release, LS2 said this about the new factory:

“This investment is directly aligned with the needs of our customers and distributors, who have seen sustained growth in demand for LS2 products. We are moving forward to remain competitive in an increasingly demanding market.”

In recent months, LS2 has revealed several new helmet products, however, it’s not limited itself to just that. The company recently unveiled its new Move Ahead luggage range, as well as the new Zirconium Evo urban jacket that’s available in the UK for £179.99.

But helmets is what LS2 specialises in, and its most recent addition to the line-up was the Challenger II, which blends high-spec features with a budget-friendly price that starts at £239.99.
