Revealed as an X series bike limited to 30 units worldwide, with 25 of those heading straight to the US, Aprilia’s new MotoGP-inspired X 250TH has sold out in just 14 days.

The Noale firm revealed its new machine at the US Grand Prix in Texas last month, which was eventually won by Aprilia Racing’s Marco Bezzecchi.

The X 250TH arrived as the most high-spec X model to date, while it also received a special stars and stripes livery to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA’s signing of the Declaration of Independence.

According to Aprilia, the RSV4-based X 250TH is the “first and only bike on the market in the world [that’s] fitted with carbon-carbon brakes”, which is technology that’s come straight from the company’s RS-GP prototype.

The X 250TH makes use of a 1099cc V4 that pushes out a claimed 240bhp, and revs past 14,000rpm. It also has a dry weight of just 165kg. As you’d expect, the engine’s had the full race-ready treatment, with a higher compression ratio, a revised intake, a titanium exhaust, and a dry clutch.

In a press release, Aprilia goes on to say that the new X model “enables braking performance and feel comparable to that of the Aprilia RS-GP ridden by Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin”.

The X 250TH is the sixth model to arrive from Aprilia as part of its X project, which was first launched in 2019 with the RSV4 X. That was then followed by the Tuono X in 2020, before the RSV4 X Trenta was revealed in 2022.

In 2024, Aprilia released the RSV4 X ex3ma which was unveiled not long before the RSV4 X-GP in 2025. But the X 250TH is the closest thing to a fully-fledged Grand Prix bike, as it features updated aerodynamics to bring it closer in spec to the MotoGP prototype.

The 25 bikes that were earmarked for the US all came with a price tag of $150,000 while the other five models were made available for other markets, including Europe, with a price of €115,000 (incl VAT).

Massimo Rivola, Aprilia Racing CEO, said this about the X 250TH selling out in just 14 days:

“The ‘X’ brand continues to establish itself as one of the most exclusive and desirable expressions of Aprilia Racing. These bikes are at the same time collector’s items and tools for riders who are aware they can experience a riding sensation extremely close to that of MotoGP. Once again announcing a sell-out just two weeks after launch is a concrete demonstration of the strength and uniqueness of these true jewels”.
