Clarke CWB-R1B Workbench with Pegboard Back review
The Clarke CWB-R1B Workbench with Pegboard Back is a good, affordable workbench with lots of features for home workshop use.
Apart from a toolchest or box of some sort and, obviously, a reasonable set of tools, there’s no greater, basic necessity for a home workshop or garage than a workbench.
And this affordable, purpose-built workbench from Clarke is a well-rated way to get started that’s also packed with features (such as a pegboard ‘back’ to mount tools or containers) and yet is also very affordably priced.
It’s called the Clarke CWB-R1B Workbench with Pegboard Back, is available through Machine Mart (both in-store and online) and is priced at a very reasonable £83.98.
It measures 1150mm wide x 560mm deep x 1440mm tall (so is sufficiently compact to fit into most home workspaces), is made from sheet steel with a board top plus pegboard backplate and also includes two drawers as a handy storage space for bladed implements or your most used tools. (The tool chest and tools in the picture are not included and are for demonstration purposes only.)
It’s also smartly designed, requires minimal home assembly and the bench has a decent safe load capacity of 100kg (with each drawer designed to hold 15kg). In total the Clarke CWB-R1B Workbench with Pegboard Back weighs 26kg.
