Yamaha confirms list of iconic motorcycles set to appear at Misano
Iconic motorcycles ridden by Giacomo Agostini, Carlos Lavado and Luca Cadalora to feature at Misano this week.

The Yamaha Racing Heritage Club has confirmed which motorcycles fans can expect to see at this week’s Yamaha Racing Experience.
Iconic machines ridden by the likes of 15-time Grand Prix world champion Giacomo Agostini, Carlos Lavado and Luca Cadalora will be present, alongside various other motorcycles that have achieved major racing success for the Japanese company.
Agostini, who joined Yamaha from MV Agusta in 1974, made an immediate impact with the brand as he won the 350cc World Championship. In 1975, Agostini won the 500cc title aboard a YZR500 0W23, which is set to feature at Misano, starting today.

The Yamaha Racing Experience will take place over the next two days, and will feature a YZR250 0W82 ridden by Lavado in 1986. The Venezuelan rider won the 250cc World Championship with this particular bike. Additionally, two Yamaha machines ridden by Cadalora will return to the track at Misano, including the YZR250 0WB9 he rode to third in the 1990 250cc World Championship. Cadalora is also set to ride the YZR500 0WK1, a bike he rode during the 1998 season.
The Grand Prix motorcycle line-up on show is not done there, as it will include two iconic 500cc machines from the Eddie Lawson era.
The bikes that will feature include the YZR500 0W81 that carried Lawson to the 1986 500cc world title, while his 1987 YZR500 0W86 will also be present.

Completing the Grand Prix lineup will be Norifumi “Norick” Abe’s 2002 YZR500 0WL9. This bike was one of Yamaha’s final 500cc two-strokes machines before switching over to four-stroke MotoGP machinery.
This year’s Yamaha Racing Experience will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on June 18–19, where riders will get the chance to ride their own motorcycles alongside some of Yamaha’s biggest racing stars.
