Brand-new 2027 Kawasaki Z300 launched in India
Kawasaki has launched the new Z300 naked as a direct competitor to the likes of KTM’s 390 Duke, but will the UK get it?

Kawasaki has revealed a brand-new Z300 naked in India, which gains a twin-cylinder engine equipped with an oxygen sensor in the exhaust system to provide better emissions management.
The 296cc liquid-cooled engine also incorporates a sleeveless, plated die-cast aluminium cylinder and lightweight coated pistons, while the radiator fan cover is designed to direct hot air away from the rider.
Kawasaki claims a power output of 39.5bhp at 11,000rpm alongside 19.3 Ib-ft of torque at 10,000rpm.
The new model arrives as a direct rival to the likes of KTM’s 390 Duke and Yamaha’s MT-03, while also slotting in between the company’s Z125 and Z500 motorcycles.

It’s no surprise to see Kawasaki launch the new Z300 in India first, after all, small-capacity bikes are used throughout the country as a means of transport year-round.
They offer a quick and accessible way to get around, especially in bigger cities that are often densely populated.
The new Z300 is based on the Ninja 300 that’s also available in India, although this particular model is not sold in the UK. Instead, the next model up from the Ninja 125 is the Ninja ZX-4RR and Ninja 500.
Kawasaki has not yet confirmed whether the Z300 will arrive in the UK and Europe, but with the 390 Duke and MT-03 both sold on our shores, there is certainly a market for it.
That being said, the Z125 and Z500 are already available in the UK, which is not the case in India where only the latter is currently sold.

The new Z300 features a new full LCD instrument panel that displays key riding information, including vehicle speed and engine rpm. The display also incorporates a bar-style tachometer integrated into the instrument layout.
Suspension is handled by 37mm telescopic forks up front and a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak rear shock with adjustable spring preload. Stopping power sees a 290mm disc and a dual-piston caliper work together up front, while the rear features a 220mm disc with a dual-piston caliper. The Z300 is also equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which helps reduce the risk of wheel lock-up during braking.
Finally, a newly-designed triple LED headlight unit is part of the setup, as are enhanced ergonomic features, including a slightly forward-slanted seat. The Z300 is available in either a Candy Lime Green or Metallic Carbon Grey livery.
