New platform, updated Africa Twin, or a new Transalp: Honda teases new adventure motorcycle

Honda has teased a new adventure motorcycle that’s set to be introduced before the start of EICMA in November.

A new adventure motorcycle is set to be revealed by Honda on November 2, but what it could be still remains a mystery.

Honda has teased the new model on its social media platforms, saying: “A new adventure is coming. Shaped by you. True adventure for all”.

Very little can be taken from the wording used by Honda, however, we know it will be a new adventure motorcycle of some kind.

The riding footage shared by Honda also gives very little away as to what the motorcycle could be.

If we were to take a guess, Honda could be set to introduce an updated version of one of its existing models.

The words “shaped by you” could mean rider feedback has played a key role in the decision making, therefore leading to an updated motorcycle.

Or, this could all be the furthest thing from the truth, with Honda instead readying a new adventure platform altogether.

If the big wigs from Japan are going down this route, then a new middleweight adventure motorcycle might be the most likely. What does appear to be true, is that the new bike will have a focus on off-road performance, suggesting a new CRF Rally bike potentially.

We won’t have long to wait before finding out what the new model is, with Honda set to unveil its new adventure bike one day before the start of EICMA in Milan, Italy.

Last year’s EICMA show was a very important one for Honda, which revealed its all-new V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype, as well as the popular CB1000GT.
