After recently teasing a new adventure bike, Kawasaki has officially launched its new KLE650 range, with UK prices and availability confirmed.

Kawasaki has confirmed its new KLE650 range for 2027 which includes a standard model priced at £7,499, alongside the higher-spec SE variant that’s set to cost £8,899.

The arrival of a brand-new KLE650 comes as no surprise following Team Green’s recent run of teases on social media.

However, it does keep up a busy month of October for the Japanese manufacturer, following the launch of a new four-cylinder Versys 900, and the KLE500 Smartride.

The latter differs from the standard KLE500 by way of its Smartride technology, which allows riders the option of no longer using the clutch lever.

While no Smartride variant has been introduced as part of the new KLE650 range, at least not yet, the new line-up does feature an SE variant that’s available in two colourways; Pearl Storm Gray and Pearl Blizzard White.

Meanwhile, the standard KLE650 will be available in a Metallic Matte Graphensteel Gray option, with both models set to arrive in dealers from April 2027.

The new flagship middleweight makes use of the company’s existing 649cc parallel-twin engine, meaning it is Kawasaki’s first rally-inspired motorcycle to feature a next-generation engine based on this platform.

The KLE650 gains KTRC traction control and Electronic Cruise Control as standard, as well as larger body panels than those housed by the KLE500.

The SE model gains additional features including an up/down quickshifter, a TFT meter panel, tubeless tyres, a USB-C power socket, handguards, an aluminium bash plate and a larger windshield.

As is the case with the KLE500, the new 650 range will also be available with three Edition models, all of which can be created using genuine Kawasaki accessories. Customers will be able to choose from a Top Case model, a Rally version and the Adventure Tourer model.

The KLE650 is expected to arrive as a rival to the likes of Royal Enfield’s highly-anticipated Himalayan 750.
