Stark unveils all-new Varg SM supermoto model
Electric startup Stark Future has revealed the newest addition to its motorcycle range, with the lightweight ,but torque-rich Varg SM.

Stark Future has revealed arguably its most exciting model to date, with the new Varg SM supermoto model already available to order in the UK.
Following in the footsteps of the brand’s Varg EX and MX 1.2 enduro and motocross models, the new SM supermoto bike is available in two trims which produce different levels of power.
There’s the standard variant which is priced at £10,990 and produces a claimed 59.2bhp, while the Alpha edition, which costs £11,990, delivers a maximum power output of 79bhp.

Now, where the new Varg SM gets really interesting is its power-to-weight ratio, as the supermoto bike claims to be unmatched against any other production motorcycle in this area. The new bike tips the scales at just 124.5kg while claiming to produce 674.1 Ib ft of torque at the rear wheel.
The Varg SM is road-legal in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and some parts of the United States, and is built on a steel frame with a forged aluminium subframe. Power is fed through a 7.2kWh honeycomb magnesium battery that acts as a stressed component within the chassis.

According to Stark, recharging takes less than two hours using the brand’s 3.3kW portable charger, which is small enough to fit in a backpack. The battery is said to give you around 113 miles when riding in urban mode, although its real world range will give you roughly 50 miles.
Suspension is provided by KYB with 48mm upside-down closed-cartridge forks up front, which offer 290mm of travel, and a triple-adjuster rear shock with 303mm of travel.
Braking is handled by Brembo with a four-piston radial monoblock calliper and a 320mm floating disc at the front, while a 220mm disc is found at the rear. Being a supermoto bike, the Varg SM’s 935mm seat height is particularly friendly to taller riders.

Built to ride short circuits, it gets a pair of 17-inch spoked wheels and four tubeless tyre options which are the Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV (standard option), the Dunlop SportSmart TT, Michelin Road 6, or Anlas Winter Grip Plus.
