Royal Enfield expands Flying Flea network as phased rollout moves closer

Royal Enfield has moved a step closer to its global rollout of the Flying Flea C6, with dedicated facilities now opening across different locations in India.

The Flying Flea C6 is the company’s first electric motorcycle to hit the market, with deliveries having already begun in Bengaluru, India. However, Royal Enfield did not initiate a nationwide release of the new model, let alone a global one, instead focusing on a phased roll out in India before the C6 arrives in the UK and other markets.

The rollout is now beginning to take shape with a dedicated Flying Flea network expansion leading to 11 new facilities. 

The first store to open was the facility in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, on April 10, while five of the new 11 locations are already operational. They include Whitefield, Rajaji Nagar, Kalyan Nagar, Electronic City and Banashankari. The other six locations will open during the first week of August. 

What all of this means is that a nationwide rollout is gathering pace for the Flying Flea C6, with deliveries soon expected to follow in the UK. This also suggests we’re nearing a release of the scrambler-style S6 model, which will officially become the company’s second electric motorcycle to land in dealerships.

The Flying Flea C6 and S6 are part of Royal Enfield’s growing plans to introduce more electric models in future years. This was confirmed as part of an annual report released by the company’s owner, Eicher Motors Limited. 

As part of its arrival in India, the Flying Flea C6 has landed with two colour options: Storm Black and Flea Green. These are expected to be the same colourways that are available in the UK.

Prior to hitting the market, the Flying Flea C6 is said to have been developed by over 200 engineers from India and the UK. It has also become a Red Dot award winner already thanks to its design.
