HJC launches ‘Funky Diablo’ Fabio Quartararo MotoGP replica helmet

Motorcycle helmet maker HJC has chosen a new Fabio Quartararo design as inspiration for its latest RPHA 1 V2 Carbon replica.

The new design arrives as a limited-edition model based on the helmet Quartararo wore at the 2025 Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona. 

When it comes to MotoGP replicas, HJC has already established a wide range of Quartararo-inspired helmets over the years; however, this one might be the funkiest of the lot. Previous designs include the ‘Snow Diablo’ that was also unveiled aboard the company’s flagship race helmet, which is homologated to FIM FRHPhe–02 standards.

Before that, HJC rolled out the new Quartararo Le Mans III lid, which is similar in its appearance to the Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France 2025 special edition, despite being unrelated. 

In terms of HJC’s newest Quartararo-based helmet, the ‘Funky Diablo’ design was first brought to life when the 2021 MotoGP world champion collaborated with renowned helmet designer, Sylvain Renard.

The design keeps the traditional Diablo theme that has made Quartararo’s helmets unlike anything we’ve seen from other riders, although it adds a more playful, energetic twist to the original concept.

HJC’s RPHA 1 V2 features an advanced carbon fibre shell that offers a combination of strength, impact energy management, and ultra-lightweight performance required to make it a helmet that’s used at the highest level of racing. According to HJC, the helmet is also designed to help reduce neck fatigue at high-speed. 

The RPHA 1 V2 Carbon is currently available with four different shell sizes that range from XS to XXL. Furthermore, the new Funky Diablo Quartararo replica will cost €999,90, which converts to around £850 at current exchange rates.
