Moto Morini’s 2026 model reveal is full of reminiscence, as evidenced by the new Kanguro 300.

Moto Morini has revealed a new small-capacity dual-sport model for 2026, which is inspired by one of the brand’s most iconic motorcycles from over 40 years ago.

If you’re not up to speed with Moto Morini’s plans for 2026, then I should start by saying the new Kanguro 300 is not the only model that’s making a return to the Italy-based, Chinese-owned company’s range.

That’s because the 3 ½ Sport is also back for 2026, while a new Corsaro GT and Rumble bobber model were also revealed at EICMA.

The Kanguro 300 returns to the brand’s line-up with one clear vision in mind, which is to bear the same design language as the original Kanguro of the 1980s.

At the heart of the new bike is a 300cc single-cylinder engine that produces a claimed 33.5bhp and 19.9 Ib-ft of torque, making it suitable for A2 license holders.

It gets a steel frame with an aluminum swingarm and rear subframe. The suspension setup features 41mm front forks, and a shock absorber with progressive linkage at the rear. Wheel travel at both ends comes in at 250mm.

“Designed to offer a balance between ease of use, versatility, and off-road capabilities, according to Moto Morini, the Kanguro 300 benefits from a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination.

The Moto Morini Kanguro 300 will be available in two flavours, including the base model which receives a high-mounted front fender, and a Rally version, featuring a low fender and a compact windshield.

The standard model gets a kerb weight of 145kg, while the Rally model is slightly heavier at 153kg. The new Kanguro also gains ABS which can be switched off. Some specs and details are still to be confirmed, as is its availability, although we do know that the new model is set to arrive in dealerships sometime in the second half of 2026.

However, we have no idea if the Kanguro 300, or any of the other new models will make their way over to the UK, because Moto Morini is losing its importer/distributor MotoMondo at the end of the year.
