Triumph goes behind the scenes of its off-road racing programme in new documentary
The new ALL IN series charts Triumph’s move into off-road racing, from its initial plans to championship competition.
Triumph has launched a new four-part documentary series covering the development of its off-road racing programme, from the decision to enter motocross and enduro through to its first championship successes.
Called ALL IN, the series looks at Triumph's relatively short journey into off-road competition and features contributions from riders and key figures including Ricky Carmichael, Ivan Cervantes, Jonny Walker, Jordon Smith and Mikkel Haarup.
The first episode was released on 3 September, with three further episodes scheduled for October, November and December.
The opening episode, ALL IN – Without Compromise, focuses on the decision to enter off-road racing and the development work that followed.
Triumph says the project began in 2018, with the company subsequently developing its own motocross and enduro bikes, establishing testing programmes and building a dedicated dealer network for the new machines.
The documentary also covers the company's early racing efforts and the transition from developing bikes to competing against established manufacturers in international championships.
Episode 1: Without Compromise
The first episode covers the origins of Triumph's off-road project, including the decision to enter motocross and enduro, the development of the bikes and the company's preparations to compete at the highest level.
Episode 2: Winning Mindset
The second instalment moves onto Triumph's racing results, looking at the challenges and successes of its motocross and Supercross programmes, as well as its involvement in the MX2 World Championship. Guillem Farres and Camden McLellan feature in the episode.
Episode 3: Beyond Limits
This episode focuses on Triumph's enduro programme, with Paul Edmondson and Jonny Walker discussing the bikes' performance in EnduroGP, SuperEnduro and Extreme Enduro competition.
Episode 4: Commitment to Performance
The final episode looks forward rather than back, focusing on Triumph's continued investment in development, testing and engineering as it attempts to build on its early results in off-road racing.
Triumph's move into off-road racing is still relatively recent compared with the manufacturers it is competing against, making the documentary particularly useful for anyone interested in how the company went from having no modern motocross or enduro range to competing for major championships.
