South Korean helmet maker HJC has revealed yet another race-inspired design, this time based on the signature colours used by the iconic Misano circuit.

HJC recently revealed a new Red Bull Ring design, which was inspired by the old layout of the Austrian circuit, not the new one that’s used by MotoGP currently.

The company’s new helmet design was created in collaboration with Red Bull, and has been applied to the RPHA 12 platform.

Officially named Red Bull Misano II, the helmet’s ventilation system has also been optimised to offer better anti-fog performance, as well as improving visor clarity and overall riding comfort, according to HJC. The new RPHA 12 Red Bull Misano II helmet is priced at €649, which is around £565.

It also makes use of a new shell material that includes carbon-aramid fibre, carbon fibre, glass fibre, organic non-woven fabric, and natural linen fibre.

Misano is one of the most iconic circuits on the MotoGP calendar, and is one of two Italian circuits that hosts the championship alongside Mugello.

The Misano circuit was built from 1970 to 1972, before hosting the first San Marino Grand Prix in the 1980s. The circuit was modified for the first time in 1993, however, it underwent more modifications in 2006, before MotoGP raced there one year later (2007).

Since 2007, which is the first year that MotoGP raced on the circuit after its direction was changed to clockwise, the Misano circuit has been a regular fixture on the Grand Prix calendar.

As well as racing at Misano in 2026, MotoGP will continue to do so until 2031 after the circuit agreed a new deal with MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, formerly known as Dorna Sports, last September.
