Wholesale changes for 2023 GasGas TXT Racing, TXT GP trials bikes

GasGas has launched its 2023 trials bike range, with a raft of updates for both the new TXT Racing and TXT GP motorcycles.

The new GasGas trials bikes for the 2023 model year have been unveiled, with a host of changes to both the TXT Racing and TXT GP.

The difference between the two ranges is clear as ever: the Racing version is aimed at non-professional riders who want to get out trialling; while the GP is supposed to be ready for any level of trials competition straight from the crate. 

A few weeks ago, GasGas published a video on their YouTube channel discussing what goes into making a new top-line trials motorcycle, and now we have the result of that labour.

Across-the-board changes have been made by GasGas for their 2023 trials roster, which, in a press release, GasGas puts down to "serious investment made by Pierer Mobility AG, [which] added to GASGAS’ longstanding passion and commitment to trial sport." 

Starting with the TXT Racing, the 2023 updates are as follows:

  • New lightweight steel frame made from cast and tubular parts
  • New aluminium front hangers create strong connection between steering head and a larger skid plate
  • New bodywork with in-mould graphics and modern styling
  • New, stronger clutch cover improves durability
  • New footrest design for improved control
  • New exhaust and silencer with super-durable end cap
  • New, redesigned kick starter for improved starting
  • New cylinder head with interchangeable inserts for customised power
  • New, shorter and adjustable Tech forks offer 174.5mm of travel
  • Neken handlebars and Renthal grips
  • Tech shock allows for a personalised rebound and spring preload set up
  • Braketec hydraulic clutch and brakes
  • Strong and lightweight wheels with CNC machined hubs
  • Michelin Trial X11 tires front and rear for maximum traction
  • Patented 4/6-speed transmission

The TXT Racing is available in a variety of engine capacities, too. As usual, these are 125cc, 250cc, 280cc, and 300cc.
For the TXT GP, there are also a number of changes to consider.

  • New lightweight steel frame made from cast and tubular parts
  • Newly developed, black anodized aluminium front hangers create strong connection between steering head and a larger skid plate
  • New bodywork with in-mould graphics styled in line with GasGas Factory Racing
  • New cylinder head with interchangeable inserts for customised power
  • New, redesigned kick starter for improved starting
  • New Neken handlebars and Renthal grips
  • New GasGas Factory Racing inspired bar pad
  • Tech front fork with 174.5mm of travel and a Kashima coating for enhanced sensitivity
  • Tech TJ3 shock absorber is fully adjustable for riders to create a personalised set-up
  • CNC-machined aluminium triple clamps anodized in black
  • Braketec hydraulic clutch and brakes
  • Strong and lightweight wheels with CNC machined hubs and a lightweight rear rim
  • Michelin Trial X11 tires front and rear for maximum traction
  • Patented 4/6-speed transmission
  • FIM approved rear brake disk

The TXT GP will be available in 250cc and 300cc displacements.
