Expected for launch in early 2022, it appears the Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been spotted on the road in India in new spy shots.

54 years 8 monthsAmidst a model revolution at Royal Enfield, it appears the onslaught will continue with a road-going Scram 411 variant due to be released in early 2022.
We’ve seen the clay model, we’ve seen previous snaps of potential test units, and now we’ve potentially seen the most concrete evidence of a Scram 411 yet - and it has a red/black two-tone tank!
Images from Motoroids show a pre-production Scram 411 on the road in India, and most of the unmistakable Himalayan frame and styling remains. Though the Himalayan front headlight unit has been removed from the adventure machine in favour of a sort of bikini fairing similar to the SG650 (or Shotgun) cruiser we saw revealed at EICMA.
New Royal Enfield Scram 411 expected for 2022 release
In terms of power, it appears the current 411cc single - with around 24 bhp and 32 Nm of torque - will be for the most part unchanged, but a smaller 18-inch front wheel (over the 21-inch Himalayan front) will see the model aimed more at an urban market.
Interestingly, the test model is seen with wire-spoke rims - whether or not the final unit will come with cast alloys instead remains to be seen. We certainly prefer the style spoked wheels offer, mind.
In any case, photos of a ‘finished unit’ seen over at BikeWale give a good idea of what the final product could look like, and it stays true to the easy-going nature that Royal Enfield is clearly keen to continue. Handlebars come out towards you, pegs are right under the 800mm seat.
This all comes as the Classic 350 has been revealed, the Meteor 350 continues its march up the sales charts, and we continue crossing our fingers for a Himalayan 650 twin machine… I mean, if they can do it for the potential Super Meteor 650 then surely the rumours will ring true.
