Storm Stacey set for showdown with TT winner Dean Harrison at Oliver’s Mount
The Oliver’s Mount road racing circuit turns 80 this weekend, and to celebrate, a star-studded entry list has been announced.
The likes of Storm Stacey, Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman will all be in action this weekend as part of a packed schedule of racing at Oliver’s Mount, in Scarborough.
To celebrate the road racing circuit’s 80th anniversary, the special Gold Cup meeting will feature three action-packed days, starting this Friday with practice and qualifying.
Spectators will then be treated to a full race schedule on both Saturday and Sunday, where the likes of Stacey will battle it out against multi-time Isle of Man TT winners Harrison and Hickman.
This will be Stacey’s first appearance outside of BSB since making a stunning debut at the North West 200 earlier this year.
Stacey won race two in the superbike class from Harrison, a result which was declared at the end of lap three following a red flag for an oil spill, as well as the superstock race ahead of Michael Dunlop and Josh Brookes.
The star-studded line-up at Oliver’s Mount will also feature Mike Browne, Shaun Anderson and North West 200 winner, Richard Cooper.
One major name missing from the confirmed line-up is Dunlop, who secured a hat-trick of wins at the Classic TT last week.
As well as the on-track racing, there will be parades and chat shows throughout the weekend, including appearances from John McGuinness, Glenn Irwin, Steve Parrish, and Mick Grant.
The chat shows will take place on both Friday and Saturday evening at 6:30pm, and they will be hosted by Steve Plater and Steve Parrish, respectively.
Additionally, there will be live bands performing on both evenings (Friday and Saturday), while a charity auction will also take place on Saturday night in aid of Garry Broughton, who was seriously injured at the 2025 Manx Grand Prix.
Tickets for the event can still be purchased on the official Oliver’s Mount website, but if you’re planning to attend both race days, booking it as a weekend adult ticket will save you a little bit of money instead of booking each day individually.
