Isle of Man TT organisers have revealed further delays and a revised schedule, after postponing Race 1 in the Superstock class.

This comes after several delays to today’s schedule already, which was set to feature a total of three races. Instead, it is just the Supersport TT Race 1 and the Sportbike TT Race 1 that will go ahead today, with the Superstock TT Race 1 postponed for the second time after it was initially due to take place on Saturday.

Roads were due to begin closing at 9am this morning ahead of an 11am race start. However, the Supersport Race 1 was then given a new start time of 2pm.

With its latest delay, TT organisers have now said that the Supersport race will start at 3pm BST, unless further delays are announced, of course. The Sportbike Race 1 was originally due to start at 3pm, but will now get underway at 6:30pm.

A statement from TT organisers said:

"The Clerk of the Course has confirmed a further 1-hour delay and a revised race schedule for this afternoon. The Mountain Road is now scheduled to close at 13:00, with all roads closed at 14:00.

"The 3-lap Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 1 is now scheduled to commence at 15:00. A revised schedule for the remainder of the week will be issued in due course.”

A revised schedule is set to be confirmed soon, which could see Sunday’s contingency session used to fit in the postponed Superstock race.

The 2026 Isle of Man TT has been heavily affected by delays, either because of poor weather, or incidents involving competitors and even spectators.

The most severe incidents occurred in the sidecar class, which was eventually removed from this year’s event following a review. Maria Costello was one of the competitors involved in a sidecar incident, which has left the female racer with what are described as “lifelong” injuries
