2026 Isle of Man TT confirms significant race delays again
TT organisers have confirmed the second day of racing has been delayed for three hours.

Isle of Man TT organisers have confirmed delays to today's revised race schedule, which includes race one of the Superstock class after it was postponed on Saturday.
Roads were due to begin closing at 9am BST, with the Supersport race due to start at 11am. However, roads won't begin to close until 12:00pm, following a statement from the TT's Clerk of the Course.
The statement said:
"The Clerk of the Course has confirmed a further one-hour delay and a revised race schedule for this afternoon. The Mountain Road is now scheduled to close at 12:00, with all roads closed at 13:00.
"No further rain is forecast this morning and into the afternoon, and it is hoped that conditions will have improved sufficiently for a 4-lap Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 1 to commence at 14:00.
"Due to forecast showers affecting the Mountain section of the Course, no racing is now scheduled to take place this evening. A revised schedule for the remainder of the week will be issued in due course."
Race one of the Superstock class was set to open racing at this year’s event on Saturday, however, it was postponed following two one-hour delays.
Low clouds were the cause of the delays, before deteriorating weather conditions led to the race being moved to this week. TT organisers decided not to use Monday’s contingency session as a slot for the Superstock race, giving riders and teams a day off before today’s action.

Both the Sportbike and Superstock races will take place over their original race distance of three laps, although the Supersport race had been reduced from four to three laps.

Honda Racing UK’s Dean Harrison heads into today’s action as one of the heavy favourites after winning the Superbike TT on Sunday.
Harrison dominated the six-lap race as he created a gap of nearly 30 seconds over Peter Hickman by the start of the final lap. Harrison eventually claimed victory by 15.580 seconds from Hickman, while Michael Dunlop was a further 12 seconds adrift in third.
Racing will continue on Wednesday before the final rest day of this year’s event. The action will resume on Friday ahead of the Senior TT on Saturday, which is the final race day of the 2026 Isle of Man TT.
