Arai’s MX-V EVO FIM #2 Added to Latest FIM Approved Helmet List
Arai’s MX-V EVO FIM Racing 2 has been officially approved to the FIM’s latest helmet standard, clearing it for use in all FIM-sanctioned off-road championships for 2026.

Arai’s new MX-V EVO FIM Racing #2 has officially been added to the FIM’s FRHP-he02 approved helmet list, confirming it meets the governing body’s latest safety standard for top-level off-road competition.

The certification, published on the FIM website, means the helmet satisfies all performance requirements for the FRHPhe-02 standard, which becomes mandatory for off-road racing from 2026. It’s the first Arai off-road model to achieve the updated homologation.
The MX-V EVO FIM Racing #2 is based on the existing MX-V EVO and carries over Arai’s long-running focus on impact management and shell strength. The helmet uses the company’s Peripherally-Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2) shell, designed to remain strong while keeping weight down. It also follows Arai’s “glancing off” philosophy, shaping the shell to deflect impact energy rather than catch it.

Key updates include a revised peak for better stability and airflow, plus refined ventilation channels to improve cooling during long or high-intensity events. Like other Arai lids, it avoids sharp edges or protrusions and sticks closely to the brand’s R75 round-shell profile, a design approach Arai says helped the helmet meet the new FIM standard without major changes.
With FRHPhe-02 approval secured, the MX-V EVO FIM Racing #2 is now cleared for use in all FIM-sanctioned off-road championships worldwide. Teams and riders can adopt the helmet immediately for upcoming seasons, including the 2026 rule change.
The helmet will be offered in white only, in sizes XS to XL, through Arai dealers and distributors. Arai will also display the MX-V EVO FIM Racing #2 at this week’s INTERMOT show in Cologne, where the brand is represented by Paaschburg & Wunderlich in Hall 8.1.
