New Jorge Lorenzo Shark Spartan helmet

Replica of Lorenzo's Austrian MotoGP 'devil' design now available

Shark Spartan Lorenzo

WE LIKE the Shark Spartan full-face lid: it's comfy, light and slips through the air a treat. And now you can get the mid-priced helmet with a spectacular stand-out Jorge Lorenzo-inspired design.

The new colourway echoes the resurgent Spaniard's helmet design from the Austrian MotoGP this year. It's red and black or grey and black, with spooky 'devil eyes' on the front, so you look a bit like that Tory political advert from 1997. Except they've not put Tony Blair's face on there. Maybe next time.

We have a couple of Spartan lids on test here at VD, and we've been impressed by them. There's an internal sunvisor, quick-release visor system, double-D ring strap, removable liner, Pinlock in the box, etc etc. It's light, quiet and feels nicely plush inside.

The new Spartan costs £329.99 and comes in sizes XS-XXL. For more info, visit www.nevis.uk.com or call 01425 478936.
