Electric bike firm Zero Motorcycles is giving its lightweight X Line models a serious suspension upgrade for 2026, teaming up with specialist outfit Sirris to develop a pair of bolt-on kits aimed at riders who think the standard setup isn’t quite enough once the trails get rough.

The new upgrades cover both bikes in the range, with the smaller XB gets the Sirris F43 CMX fork, while the larger XE receives a full front-and-rear F43/R46 suspension package. Both systems are fully adjustable and designed as direct replacements for the stock hardware, meaning owners won’t need to start fabricating brackets or modifying frames to make them fit.

Zero says the project has been underway since the X Line launched, with the aim of building suspension packages specifically around the unique characteristics of lightweight electric off-road bikes. That means tuning for instant torque delivery, different weight distribution and the extra demands that come from riding heavier battery-powered machines hard off-road.

The XB setup uses a symmetrical closed cartridge fork with sealed dual dampers and adjustable spring rates ranging from 3.2 to 5.8 N/mm. Riders can even run mixed spring rates between fork legs if they want to fine-tune the feel. It also retains the standard XB stem and wheel setup, arriving with the necessary spacers, caliper bracket and brake line routing parts included.

The XE package goes a step further, combining the same F43 fork with a matching R46 rear shock. Standard tuning uses a 105 N/mm rear spring, though buyers chasing more aggressive riding or racing can opt for stiffer springs, increased oil volume and a firmer race-spec setup.

Sirris co-founder Graham Sills described the growing e-moto scene as “the most exciting new space in powersports”, while Zero’s North American VP of Sales and Customer Experience Garrett Johnson said the kits are aimed squarely at riders who want more control, more performance and better capability on tougher terrain.
