Stark Varg MX 1.2 lands with more range, updated chassis and a new battery pack
Stark Future has unveiled its second-generation Varg MX electric motorcycle, which gets several seismic changes over the outgoing model.

Stark Future has revealed its all-new Varg MX 1.2, an electric motocross bike that’s been specifically designed through a worldwide racing programme.
The Varg MX 1.2 is powered by a new 7.2kWh battery compared to the previous 6.5kWh unit, although the power output of the motor remains the same as its predecessor. What has changed is the range, which has been increased by 20 per cent.
Should you opt for the Alpha trim - costing an extra £1,000 - then 79bhp will be available to you, while the standard version of the new MX 1.2 delivers 59bhp. Torque is slightly higher than before, with a massive 720 Ib ft (691 Ib ft previously).
Riders are able to adjust engine braking settings on the fly, and power delivery characteristics to suit their riding needs and live track conditions.

A new update with the MX 1.2 bike is the Laps function, which is housed by the new Arkenstone waterproof Android smartphone system. This means that riders have access to real-time track data such as lap times and splits.
The handlebar-mounted unit features a new docking station and comes with improved connectivity, speed, brightness, and a clamping system to keep it secure.
The bike also benefits from a new frame, which is now 0.9kg lighter than before. The new steel alloy frame features refined flex around the shock mount area, which Stark says enhances feedback, rider comfort, and control.

It gets a KYB suspension system that has been retuned with updated mid-valve shim stacks, 310mm of travel, and selectable spring rates based on rider weight.
Riders have the choice of a handlebar- or foot-operated Brembo rear brake, while an optional titanium hardware package will save you 900g. You also have the choice of Dunlop MX34 or Pirelli MX32 tyres with tubes or mousse. Finally, there are three seat grip options, including Standard, Grip, and SuperGrip.
Former two-time World Motocross champion, and now Stark Future Racing Director, Sebastien Tortelli said: "Racing is where weaknesses show and strengths are proven. With the VARG MX 1.2, we've turned competition into development; every race, every rider, every condition feeds into what we build. This bike is the direct result of that process. It's taken a lot of sweat, hard work, and constant learning to raise the bar for what's possible in motocross. We're not just keeping up—we're delivering more traction, more stability, more features, and a longer range. We're pushing the boundaries."

Pricing has also been confirmed by Stark, with customers in the UK able to get the standard version for £10,490. The Alpha edition will cost you £11,490. Orders can now be placed on the official Stark website.
