2027 Kawasaki Z1100, Versys 650, Vulcan S and Z500 receive new colours
Kawasaki has introduced a new round of colours to its 2027 line-up, with the Z1100, Versys 650, Vulcan S and Z500 all benefiting from the company’s latest update.
Kawasaki has launched a new round of colours as part of a ‘light’ 2027 update, which affects the Z1100, Versys 650, Vulcan S and Z500.
Starting with the former, the Z1100 returned to Team Green’s super naked line-up for 2026 after it was discontinued from the brand’s UK range in 2020. It marked its return with the company’s ‘Sugomi’ styling being a main feature once again, however, it also returned with some technical changes, including new pistons, valve springs, and cams.
Mechanically and technically, the Z1100 remains unchanged heading into 2027, while the standard model also keeps hold of the same Ebony/Metallic Carbon Grey colourway that was introduced in 2026. Meanwhile, the high-spec SE (Special Edition) model does get a fresh colour trim ahead of landing in UK dealers from October. The new colourway is called Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray/Metallic Matte Carbon Gray/Candy Flat Blazed Green.
Kawasaki’s ‘Big Zed’ is powered by a liquid-cooled 1,099cc inline-four engine that produces 134bhp at 9,000rpm and 83.3Ib-ft of torque at 7,600rpm. The bike also retains standard features such as a quickshifter, cruise control and its 5-inch TFT display, while the SE model continues to benefit from Brembo M4.32 front brake calipers and an Öhlins S46 rear shock.
Up next is the Versys 650, which also stays the same mechanically and technically. Kawasaki’s latest version of the Versys 650 will arrive in dealers with two colour options; Candy Lime Green Type 3/Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Carbon Gray/Metallic Spark Black.
The 2027 colours for the Vulcan S cruiser are Metallic Carbon Gray/Metallic Bluish Green-79H and Metallic Flat Spark Black. The Vulcan S continues to be powered by the company’s 649cc parallel twin, while also carrying over its LED lighting system, 4.3-inch TFT display, and four-position adjustable screen.
Finally, Kawasaki has revealed three new colours to its Z500 range, two of which are found aboard the SE model. They are Candy Persimmon Red/Metallic Carbon Gray and Pearl Blizzard White/Candy Lime Green Type 3/Ebony, which are arguably the most striking colourways of all the new trims. The standard Z500 will be available in a Ebony/Metallic Carbon Gray option.
Pricing is not expected to change much compared to the 2026 variants, especially since these models are receiving new colours instead of technical overhauls.
