Norton reveals one-off Manx R in collaboration with Peaceful Research

Norton’s ongoing resurgence has already given us the 206bhp Manx R, the naked Manx variant, and the Atlas and Atlas GT adventure bikes. However, a flashy, one-off version of the Manx R has now been revealed.

The one-off model is a result of Norton’s new collaboration with Peaceful Research, while a limited-run of clothing was also revealed on August 7, at 7pm BST. 

The clothing collection features a hoodie, t-shirt and cap, although it’s the bold-looking Manx R that unquestionably steals the show. Dressed in a pink and black colourway, this one-off model was on display at last weekend’s British MotoGP at Silverstone. 

The new colourway is also very different to any of the standard Manx R colours, which include Trophy Silver, Matrix Black, Celestial Grey, Aqua Green, Carbon, and Glacier Blue options.

For those that don’t know, Peaceful Research is a contemporary motorsport and lifestyle goods company, and the collaboration between the two companies was forged to reimagine Norton’s racing heritage through the lens of Peaceful Research. 

It’s not been confirmed whether the one-off custom build will go up for sale or not, and at what price, although it would likely blow past the British brand’s entry price point of £20,250 for the base Manx R model.

That base price gets bumped up to £24,750 for the Norton Manx R Apex edition, although a seismic price gap then ensues if customers want the Signature Edition, which is priced at £38,750. The Signature Edition gets the full works treatment, meaning carbon fibre bodywork, Rotobox carbon wheels, single-seat configuration and dedicated startup sequences for both the dash and lighting.

The Manx R features a 1,200cc V4 engine that produces its 206bhp at 11,500rpm and 96 Ib-ft of torque at 9,00rpm. Every element of the new bike is essentially new, including the chassis, electronics and bodywork.
