2027 Ducati Panigale V4 SP revealed in CARB filing
A new Ducati Panigale V4 SP looks set to position itself between the standard V4 and the race homologated V4 R in 2027.
Ducati looks set to usher in a new Panigale V4 SP for 2027, which has been certified via documents from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), according to a report from Motorcycle.com.
The SP name is no stranger to Ducati, and has been used by the Italian marque across numerous model line-ups in the past. However, there is currently no SP variant in the heavily saturated Panigale V4 range.
But that looks set to change heading into 2027, with the new Panigale V4 SP likely to position itself somewhere between the standard V4, and the race homologated V4 R, which is used by teams in major championships such as the WorldSBK series, and BSB.

CARB had already certified the 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 line-up in March 2026, although Ducati is believed to have submitted a revised version last month, specifically mentioning the new V4 SP.
The inclusion of a new SP version should come as no surprise after the previous generation V4 featured SP and SP2 models. Details of the new V4 SP remain scarce, however, we do know that it will feature the same 1,103cc engine that’s used by other Panigale V4 bikes.
Expect the new V4 SP to feature a spec sheet not too dissimilar from the V4 R, and one that is therefore higher than the current V4. Previous iterations of the SP included adjustable billet aluminium footpegs, carbon fibre wheels, a brushed aluminium fuel tank, upgraded Brembo brakes, and more.
As it stands, Ducati’s 2026 Panigale V4 range consists of the above-mentioned V4 and V4 R models, as well as the V4 S, V4 S Corse, V4 Tricolore, the special V4 Marquez 2025 World Champion Replica, and finally, the ultra-limited V4 S 100.
Out of these models, the standard V4 is the brand’s entry-level model with regards to price (£24.995). Next in line is the higher-spec V4 S, which gains SmartEC3.0 electronically controlled Öhlins suspension, forged aluminium wheels, and a lithium battery over its sibling. The V4 S starts at £30,695, while the V4 R will cost you £38,995.
