Royal Enfield to open new manufacturing plants in Andhra Pradesh
Royal Enfield is set to massively expand production with new manufacturing and supplier facilities in Andhra Pradesh, taking the brand’s annual output capacity to around 1.46 million motorcycles.

Royal Enfield has confirmed plans to open new manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh, in a move that could boost the Indian brand’s annual production capacity by close to one million motorcycles.
The new manufacturing plant and vendor park will be Royal Enfield’s first facilities outside Tamil Nadu, the state where the company has operated since 1955. Once fully operational, the new sites are expected to take Royal Enfield’s total manufacturing capacity to around 1.46 million bikes per year – an increase of roughly 900,000 units annually, according to reports from The Economic Times (TET).

Per TET, around 276 acres have been allocated for the expansion across the villages of Vanelluru (233 acres) and Rallakuppam (42 acres) in Satyavedu. The sites sit roughly 50km from the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border.
Construction will reportedly be completed in two phases, with the first expected to finish in 2029 and the second following in 2032. The expansion project will also include a vendor park, which is expected to be completed during the first phase.

The new production facilities arrive during a sustained period of growth for Royal Enfield, with the company’s retro and modern classic motorcycles continuing to gain traction globally. Its recently updated Himalayan 450 has also played a major role in that growth, with sales of the lightweight adventure bike reportedly increasing by 53 per cent in 2026 compared to the previous year.
