MV Agusta’s New Brutale to Debut at EICMA 2025

The Italians promise “beyond pure performance” as the Brutale turns 25 and gets a new engine, chassis, and a bit more marketing sparkle.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, we 'think' it's the new MV, maybe.

MV Agusta has confirmed that a new generation of the Brutale will make its debut at EICMA 2025, before hitting showrooms in 2026. The launch will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original Brutale, the bike that MV insists “redefined the very concept of naked motorcycles” back in 2001.

The new Brutale is said to carry its famous name into “a new era,” one that is more powerful, more refined, and yes, more thrilling than ever before. According to the oh-so-Italian press release, the project has been built on four pillars: performance, design, exclusivity, and rider connection. That’s marketing speak for “it’s fast, it looks sharp, it costs plenty, and you’ll probably want one.”

MV calls the Brutale the “Porsche 911 of motorcycles,” which is quite the claim. The new model doesn’t stray far from the familiar Brutale DNA, but it’s been given sharper lines, tidier proportions, and a stance that aims to balance elegance with aggression.

At its heart is the updated 950cc triple, now in “EVO” specification. MV says it delivers more power and torque, a snappier throttle response, and greater reliability. In short, it should go like stink but be slightly less temperamental while doing it.

The chassis is all-new, with a redesigned frame and swingarm, fresh geometry, and reworked ergonomics. MV promises greater stability on the road, sharper agility on track, and enough comfort to keep your wrists and backside happy. Suspension and braking have also been upgraded, with MV describing them as the new benchmark in performance and safety.

Reliability has allegedly been front and centre, with modern production methods and a standard five-year warranty to back it up. A new HMI system and updated MV Ride app bring the digital side up to date, letting you tweak and fiddle even when you’re not on the bike.

Talking about his new toy, Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta, said:

“In 2001, the Brutale rewrote the rules of the naked category, instantly becoming an icon. Today, 25 years later, we celebrate that revolution with a new generation that does not simply rebirth itself but evolves, representing a renewed interpretation of our vision: going beyond pure performance. The new Brutale is more powerful, refined, and thrilling, yet it remains true to its soul: a motorcycle designed by riders, for riders. An icon Made in Italy, ready to inspire motorcyclists around the world for the next 25 years.”

So, there we go, MV will unveil a new bike that is about as Italian as Pizza and Peroni at EICMA, and it’s likely to be very fast and quite expensive.

We’ll be there to bring you all the details as soon as they arrive.
