BMW Motorrad UK has collaborated with Deus Lodge to create a bespoke version of the CE 02, the brand’s electric “eParkourer” that’s fast becoming a canvas for custom creativity.

The one-off project draws inspiration from Deus Ex Machina’s back catalogue of unique builds and the distinctively playful design of the CE 02 itself.

Deus Lodge, which opened in 2023, is Deus Ex Machina’s UK home, nestled in Boscombe and a short stroll from the beach. Known locally as “the lodge of heavy leisure”, the venue has quickly become a cultural hub for surf, skate and motorcycle fans, serving up coffee, retail and community events against a backdrop of sand and sea. If you have salty sunbleached hair and wear cut-off shorts, tatty hoodies, and constantly say "Yaa Bro, that's totally rad!" this place is for you.

The bespoke CE 02 takes direct cues from the lodge’s colour palette, as well as Deus Ex Machina’s graphic motifs. Designed to be the ultimate beachside runaround, the bike will be used by the lodge and its partners to dart between errands in town or to cruise down to the beachfront.

Ross Morton, co-founder of Deus Lodge, explained: “The brief we provided BMW Motorrad was for a bike that made sense for all seasons by the sea, light, versatile, and dripping in the lodge’s tones. The CE 02 matches the Deus ethos of laid-back, fun styling and not taking itself too seriously. The bike looks awesome, we can’t wait to put it to use at the lodge.”

Introduced in 2024, the CE 02 is offered in two versions: a 4 kW (5 hp) model suitable for AM licence holders and an 11 kW (11 hp) version that can be ridden on a CBT or full motorcycle licence. Both come with BMW’s playful riding modes, “Flow” and “Surf”, with a more aggressive “Flash” mode available as part of the optional Highline package. Standard kit includes BMW Motorrad ABS (front only), Automatic Stability Control, Recuperative Stability Control, a Reverse Assistant, a 3.5-inch Micro-TFT display and a USB-C socket.

Pricing starts from £7,450 for the 4 kW variant and £8,450 for the full-fat 11 kW bike. Opt for the Highline version and you’re looking at £9,355, with BMW currently offering 0% APR finance and a £500 deposit contribution until the end of 2025.
