Emflux Two and Two+ electric naked bikes announced

Ambitious Indian company Emflux announces details of two new electric naked bikes, the Emflux Two & Emflux Two+

Emflux Two

Burgeoning Indian motorcycle company Emflux has dropped details for two new electric naked bikes that will go on sale along an ambitious electric Superbike in the coming months.

Around 18 months ago we reported on the unveiling of the Emflux One, a sharply-styled sportsbike that promised to harness the performance benefits of electric power in an eye-catching package. At the time it was proposed to wear a modest local price tag that converted to roughly £7,000.

Roll forward to now and the Emflux One is still ‘forthcoming’ but that doesn’t mean the Indian start-up – which was founded in 2016 – has been resting on its laurels. Instead it has turned its attentions to developing a pair of naked bikes, logically known as the Emflux Two and the Emflux Two+.

Unusually Emflux have gone to the trouble of confirming these models and their specifications but are keeping the bikes themselves under wraps beyond a moody promotional teaser seen here.

The Two offers a 160km range and a top speed of 160km/h (99mph) with the presumably higher-specification ‘premium’ Two+ raising this to a 180km range and a 200km/h (125mph) top speed

“We’re doubling down on our promise by creating not one, but two new beasts from the same gene pool as the Emflux ONE, one more affordable than the other. Presenting the Emflux TWO and TWO+, a pair of lethal electric street-fighters (Ed: Lethal?!) designed to decimate the competition with nothing but a whisper.

“Consider this our first step towards reaching more people with our technology. More details will follow in the coming months.”

Emflux One is still coming

Despite the delays to the One – reportedly because of Emflux’s desire to develop its own parts rather than rely on suppliers – the Two and Two+ are intended to increase its impact as it looks to establish a premium electric motorcycle market in India.

For now, this venture is focused solely on India and the Emflux project is certainly an intriguing one in a nation of beloved – but high polluting – bike owners.

It seems there are still hurdles to overcome but of all the electric projects happening around the world that pop up as design studies, concept cars or start-up ventures, this looks to be one of the more developed in a nation that needs to make serious changes to reverse its environmental impact.
