The collapse of Superbike Factory has prompted affected customers and staff to organise themselves online, with Reddit and WhatsApp groups now being used to share information about the administration and help people work out what to do next.

The groups have been set up in the aftermath of Superbike Factory entering administration on 20 July 2026, when the company's appointed administrators confirmed that the business had ceased trading with immediate effect.

One customer who contacted Visordown said they initially discovered the community through a discussion on a legal advice forum on Reddit. The discussion has since become a focal point for people attempting to share experiences and information following the dealer's collapse.

The Reddit discussion includes contributions from people affected in different ways, while a separate WhatsApp group has been established specifically for Superbike Factory customers and staff.

The WhatsApp group describes itself as being for “Affected Customers and staff”, with the intention of bringing people together to exchange information as the administration progresses.

According to the customer who contacted Visordown, the people involved include customers who had purchased motorcycles but were waiting to collect them, people who had bikes with Superbike Factory for servicing or maintenance, people who were selling motorcycles through the company and current and former employees.

That means the groups cover a surprisingly broad range of situations. The administration does not affect every Superbike Factory customer in the same way, with the position potentially depending on whether a motorcycle had been collected, whether payment had been made, whether a customer's own bike was being held by the company and what agreements were in place.

The customer who contacted Visordown said the groups are being used to gather information and keep people updated while those affected wait for clearer information from the administrators.

That information vacuum is one of the reasons the groups have grown. The administrators have taken control of the business following its collapse, with the next stages of the process expected to involve assessing the company's assets, liabilities, customer claims and the future of its remaining operations.

The customer said they had also received some initial individual guidance from White Dalton Solicitors and had contacted other media organisations, YouTubers and MPs in an attempt to raise awareness of the situation.

For customers, the online groups are becoming a way of comparing notes at a time when there are plenty of different circumstances to navigate. Someone who has paid for a motorcycle but has not collected it faces a different situation to someone whose own motorcycle was left with Superbike Factory for a service or valuation, for example.

The same applies to people who were in the process of selling a motorcycle through the company, while former employees have their own separate concerns following the cessation of trading.

The administrators' appointment followed a Notice of Intention (NOI) to appoint administrators filed on 17 July, before the formal administration began three days later. Superbike Factory Group Limited and Superbike Factory Limited then ceased trading immediately.

The companies had expanded significantly in recent years, operating six UK locations alongside their online operation. The administration therefore leaves a large number of customers, employees and other creditors trying to establish exactly where they stand.

The Reddit and WhatsApp groups cannot provide definitive answers to those questions, of course. Only the administrators and relevant finance, banking or warranty companies can confirm the position in individual cases.

What they can do, however, is provide something that is currently in short supply: a place where people caught up in the Superbike Factory collapse can compare information, find others in a similar position and keep track of developments.

For anyone affected by the administration, that may prove useful while the formal process continues and the administrators work through what is going to be a very complicated situation.

If you have been affected by this, either as a customer or former staff member, you can find the WhatsApp group here and the Reddit forum here.
