2026 Ducati Monster wins Red Dot Product Design award

Ducati’s 2026 Monster, which uses the company’s all-new 890cc V2 engine platform, has won the prestigious Red Dot award in the Product Design category for 2026.

Ducati's win in the Red Dot Product Design category was achieved, in part, through the Italian brand's continued evolution of the Monster platform, which is now in its fifth-generation. Speaking about the latest version of the Monster, Ducati said: 

"Introduced in 2025, the new Monster carries this heritage into the future through an entirely new project, combining lightness, technology and a contemporary, instantly recognisable design language. More compact, essential and sporty, the new Monster recalls the elements that have defined its identity since the very beginning: the headlight framed by the “shoulders” of the bison-back tank, the one-piece seat, and the short, lightweight tail section."

This major win for Ducati comes after other brands have also tasted similar success in 2026, including Honda and Suzuki.  

Honda celebrated further Red Dot success through its electric WN7, which recently backed up its iF Design honour with an award win in the Red Dot product design category. That was then followed by Suzuki’s GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, with both models winning a Red Dot Award in the same category.

The award win for the new Monster is quite an impressive feat, after all, it only began arriving in dealerships earlier this year. 

The new Monster was one of Ducati’s big highlights from its EICMA 2025 line-up, not least because of the above-mentioned 890cc V2 engine, which features IVT (Intake Variable Timing).

The new V-twin power unit produces 109.4 bhp and 67.1lb-ft of torque, with 70 per cent of its torque claimed to be available from just 3,000rpm, and 80 per cent between 4,000 and 10,000rpm.

Suspension comes via a non-adjustable 43mm Showa fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock also from Showa. Stopping power is handled by Brembo M4.32 calipers that bite down on 320mm discs up front, while a 245mm disc is paired with a two-piston caliper at the rear. Cornering ABS is found at both ends of the bike. 

Since arriving in dealers, the 2026 Monster V2 has already received a new Sport Livery which was made available in April. It means that customers can choose between three colourways including the Ducati Red and Iceberg White options. 

The 2026 Ducati Monster is currently available in the UK at a price of £11,995. That's if you choose the standard model (not the Monster+) in a Ducati Red option. That price gets bumped up to £12,195 for the Iceberg White variant, while the new Sport Livery option will cost customer £12,495.
