First look at new Adelaide MotoGP circuit expected soon
MotoGP is expecting to give a first look at the new Adelaide circuit “over the next few weeks”, ahead of it replacing Phillip Island in 2027.

MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, says a first look at the new Adelaide street circuit might not be too far away.
This comes in preparation for 2027, when the new Adelaide circuit will replace Phillip Island on the ever-growing MotoGP calendar.
Ezpeleta confirmed that the latest renderings of the new circuit could be made public in the coming weeks. The new venue was confirmed earlier this year after persistent rumours linked MotoGP with a potential departure from Phillip Island, which has hosted the MotoGP World Championship continuously since 1997.

Since then, only two Australian Grand Prix’ have not taken place, which was due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
At the time of MotoGP announcing Adelaide as the replacement for Phillip Island, an early rendering was revealed, however, this was not the final circuit configuration. Instead, that will likely be revealed as part of the next update from MotoGP.

When speaking to Wall Street investors ahead of last weekend’s British MotoGP at Silverstone, Ezpeleta said this:
“For the debut of [the] Adelaide GP, we look forward to unveiling the first visual renderings of the new Adelaide circuit over the next few weeks.”
Viewing figures and overall interest in MotoGP was at an all-time high in 2025, and the switch to Adelaide is part of MotoGP’s ongoing push to bring the series closer to big cities.
Ezpeleta also touched on expanding MotoGP’s reach, saying:
“We also recently hosted a watch party for the Dutch Grand Prix at the Outernet in London, drawing over 20,000 visitors.
“As we broaden our reach, we see attractive opportunities to engage fans in creative, immersive experiences in key markets around the world. We remain focused on extending MotoGP’s global footprint and are encouraged by the momentum across our digital and social footprints.
“We ended the quarter with 63 million social media followers, a 3 per cent increase year-over-year, with particularly a strong performance on TikTok, where engagement increases over 80 per cent.”
