Masked gang who stole £140k worth of bikes ends in conviction
A warehouse raid involving a dozen masked thieves and a fleet of stolen bikes ends with sentences already effectively served.

Two men have been convicted over a warehouse raid that saw motorbikes worth around £140,000 stolen in Medway, Kent.
The pair were found guilty of their roles in the break-in, which involved a masked gang targeting a storage unit packed with bikes, including high-value Stark Varg electric bikes. The court heard how the operation was organised, deliberate and carried out under cover of darkness, with those involved working together to gain access and remove high-value machines.

The theft itself dates back to July 5, 2025, when a group wearing face coverings made their way into the warehouse containing the bikes via a loading bay door that had been left open by a staff member. Once inside, the 12-strong gang loaded seven crates, each containing two bikes valued at around £20,000, into waiting vehicles. Investigators said the gang had left the scene before police could attend, which is despite one staff member at the facility witnessing the gang in the premises and raising the alarm.
CCTV later showed the scale and speed of the operation, with the group moving quickly to clear the building of its contents. All of the bikes taken were contained in boxes marked “Stark Future”, and collectively valued at around £140,000.
Following the raid, Ajay Sharp and Bobby Turner were apprehended following a high-speed chase to the Dartford Crossing, followed by a dog handler pursuit on foot. A third man, who was arrested with them, is awaiting trial, while a fourth, Charlie Arbia, 27, was subsequently linked to the burglary through ANPR, CCTV and phone cell site data.
Sharp was handed 19 months in total – 13 for the burglary, plus another six after breaching a suspended sentence – while Turner got eight months.
Despite that, both are expected to walk straight out, with the time they’ve already spent in custody covering the sentences.
