The specialist motorcycle dealer, Two70 Motorcycles, has entered administration following six years of trading.

The company behind the brand, J&M Electrobikes, was founded in 2020 and carried bikes from Mutt Motorcycles, Zero, VMoto and Stark Future. With three of those four brands being electric only, it’s not clear whether the difficult UK market for battery-powered bikes was behind the firm’s decline.

Adding to the pain for Two70 was the demise of Mutt Motorcycles, which entered administration in March 2025. Mutt primarily produced cafe racer and scrambler bikes that fell into the A1 and A2 classes. Removing those cheap and cheerful yet attractive models from the showroom would likely have hit the brand's profitability.

A post on Facebook from the brand, which has since been deleted, indicates that the closure was announced in September and an online sale was held to sell off the remaining stock before the shutters came down.

A spokesperson at the time said: “It's with a heavy heart that we will unfortunately be closing Two70 Motorcycles … I'd like to thank everyone for their custom and support."

The UK motorcycle market remains a difficult place for dealers, particularly those betting on electric bikes, where high purchase prices, limited demand and questions around charging and range continue to present hurdles.

Two70’s closure also follows the collapse of SuperBike Factory, which entered administration earlier this year, underlining the pressures facing businesses across the trade. While the reasons behind Two70’s failure have not been confirmed, its demise is another reminder that finding a sustainable business model in an increasingly competitive market is no easy ride.
