Suzuki GSX-R750 left hanging from traffic light pole after collision with BMW
Motorcycle rider avoids life-threatening injuries after a collision sees his Suzuki stranded in a traffic light pole.

A motorcycle rider in Canada has avoided life-threatening injuries after a serious collision resulted in his Suzuki GSX-R750 being stuck in a traffic light pole.
The collision took place when the motorcycle rider was travelling through Delta, a southern suburb in Vancouver, Canada.
The owner of the Suzuki GSX-R750 was hit by a silver BMW that was attempting to make a left-hand turn. Based on CCTV footage, it looks as though the BMW driver could not see the oncoming motorcyclist due to traffic in front of him, but he attempted to make the turn anyway. According to local reporter, Sarbraj Singh Kahlon, “Delta Pd say the motorcycle rider sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries & was transported to hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.”
The rider, who clearly had very little time to react, braked so hard that his rear wheel was lifted into the air moments before the collision happened, which left the right side of the BMW car with significant damage as well.
Any road incident, especially one that involves a motorcyclist, could have a tragic outcome, so it’s very fortunate that the rider did not sustain worse injuries, especially since his GSX-R750 somehow managed to flip so high that it landed front first with its wheel in the traffic light pole.
While it might seem unrealistic that a motorcycle could flip as high as it did, the bike hit the car while the rear tyre was still in the air, therefore, the impact and force behind it is what made the bike rotate anti-clockwise before hitting the traffic light pole.
Due to the wreckage, the road was closed for some time after the incident, which occurred last Saturday.
