Ducati Desmo450 takes Italian pair to new endurance world record
The Ducati Desmo450 EDS has broken a Guinness World Record for the first time, after Italian riders Silvio Sabba and Valerio Boni completed 900 miles in just 24 hours.

Silvio Sabba and Valerio Boni have broken the world record for the longest distance covered on a motocross bike in 24 hours.
The Italian pair set the new Guinness World Record aboard a Ducati Desmo450 EDS, which marks the bike’s first major achievement since its launch earlier this year.
The new record was set on a dirt track just outside of Milan on October 1, with Sabba and Boni completing 1,448.732km (900.2 miles).
To set the new distance record, Sabba and Boni exchanged turns riding the Desmo450 EDS, culminating in 1,588 laps of the track.

The Desmo450 EDS remained completely stock, while the bike’s 449.6cc engine was only stopped during refuelling and for its single oil and filter change.
The oil and filter change is believed to have taken under 17 minutes, while quick fuel stops also played a pivotal role in the pair surpassing the 900-mile benchmark.
At the side of the course was a clock allowing the team to keep track of their progress throughout; however, this was not the first 24-hour challenge the pair had faced.
Sabba and Boni set a new Guinness World Record for the longest off-road distance by a petrol-powered road legal scrambler in 24 hours, last year.
Their new record more than doubled the previous mileage figure, with Sabba and Boni achieving 1,462km (around 908.5 miles) on a Ducati Scrambler.
Sabba is known to be one of the most prolific Guinness World Record breakers, while Boni is also highly regarded for setting new records within the two-wheel discipline.
