LiveWire set to debut arguably its most important bike yet at EICMA 2026

LiveWire will debut the production-intent DUST Hightail at EICMA 2026, as its Dust Moto acquisition opens the door to a growing electric dirt bike market.

LiveWire has confirmed it will be revealing the DUST Hightail at EICMA 2026, with the electric off-roader arguably representing the most important motorcycle in the company's line-up to date.

And while that might sound like a strange statement to make about a Harley-Davidson-backed brand known for premium mid- and large-capacity electric bikes, its acquisition of remains of DUST and subsequent move into recreational and competitive off-road riding could prove more significant than you might think.

The Hightail will be shown in production-intent form at the Milan show, marking the first public appearance of a model developed from LiveWire's acquisition of the assets of US start-up Dust Moto earlier this year. The bike is scheduled to enter production in 2027, although LiveWire has yet to confirm its final specification or price.

While LiveWire's existing S4 Honcho range targets the lightweight and fun side of the electric motorcycle market, the DUST family takes the company properly into the electric dirt bike segment, an area that has been attracting riders who might otherwise have little interest in conventional electric motorcycles.

As has been mentioned before on Visordown, machines from brands such as Stark, Sur-Ron and Talaria are, whether traditional riders like it or not, bringing a new audience to two wheels, thanks in part to their straightforward operation and off-road capabilities.

That makes the Hightail potentially significant for LiveWire, which has spent much of its existence trying to establish itself in the electric motorcycle and competitor to traditional petrol-powered motorcycle brands.

Rather than simply adding another model to its existing range, the acquisition of Dust Moto gives it access to a segment that could help bring a different generation of riders into motorcycling.

LiveWire has not yet revealed whether the production Hightail will retain all the technical details previously announced by Dust Moto, with preliminary information on the wider DUST range due on November 2, 2026. Full production specifications and pricing are expected in the first quarter of 2027.

The Hightail will not be the only DUST model on display at EICMA, with LiveWire also set to preview the DUST Spur, a second motorcycle planned for 2027.

Details remain limited, although the company says the model will expand the DUST family with another product aimed at a distinct rider segment. It’s anyone’s guess what that could be, although we’re leaning toward a more adventure-ready, less race-ready version of the bike, sitting somewhere between a full enduro bike and an electric adventure bike.

LiveWire's EICMA stand will also feature the S4 Honcho Street, making its European debut in production-ready form ahead of its retail launch immediately after the show. It joins the S4 Honcho Trail, which is already available globally.

The S4 Honcho Skate is another new model taking to the stage at EICMA, and all we can imagine about this bike is that it’s ‘totally rad dude’.

Completing the display will be the latest STACYC electric balance bikes, including the 16eDrive, 20eDrive, 16eDrive Elite and 20eDrive Elite. LiveWire says STACYC has introduced more than 250,000 riders worldwide to two wheels, placing the brand at the entry-level end of its expanding electric portfolio.

Taken together, the STACYC, S4 Honcho and DUST ranges give LiveWire a broader spread of electric two-wheel products, from balance bikes through lightweight electric motorcycles to off-road machines, and that’s on top of the existing on-road range.

When the switch is finally flicked on electric bikes, and people do start to move in great numbers, LiveWire looks to be setting out a fairly substantial stall.

LiveWire will exhibit alongside Harley-Davidson at Hall 14, Stand E46, at EICMA 2026 in Milan from November 5-8.
