We’ve waited a while for it, but KTM’s much-anticipated 990 Duke R has finally made its way into production. It does so as part of a revamped 2026 range, which the company calls “its most complete naked lineup to date”.

The Duke 990 R is one of ten new models within KTM’s naked range that’s set to arrive in dealerships throughout this year, and it will do so with a UK price of £12,499. It gets an 8.8-inch TFT touchscreen display with offline map navigation, while its 947cc parallel-twin LC8 engine delivers a quoted 130 PS (128bhp) and 76 Ib-ft of torque. It also gets fully adjustable WP Apex suspension with linkage at the rear.

Joining the new 990 Duke R as standout models are KTM’s new 1390 Super Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R Evo. Both motorcycles fit into the brand’s hyper-naked segment, and produce 190 hp (around 187.3bhp) and 107 Ib-ft of torque.

They share the same braking system, with dual Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston calipers housed up front, while the rear setup comprises a fixed twin-piston Brembo caliper.

The major difference between both machines is the use of semi-active suspension aboard the R Evo model, meaning it can automatically adapt to a rider’s input or to changing road surface conditions.

Other models featured in the company’s 2026 naked range includes a non-R version of the 990 Duke, as well as an updated 790 Duke. In terms of its entry-level segment, KTM has also revealed a new Duke 125, which has been joined by a Duke 160 model that’s only available in certain markets. That’s also the case for the new Duke 200, with both of those bikes likely aimed at the Indian market.

Finally, there’s the new KTM Duke 250, which arrives in some markets with two new colourways. More information regarding each model’s availability can be found by visiting the official KTM website.
