Ducati has confirmed UK pricing for its first-ever production supermoto, with the all-new Desmo450 SM set to arrive in dealerships priced from £12,095.
First shown in pre-production form during World Ducati Week 2026 as part of the Italian firm's centenary celebrations, the Desmo450 SM is now officially part of Ducati's line-up. The bike takes the 449.6cc single-cylinder Desmo engine developed for the firm's motocross and enduro bikes and adapts it for life on the track. It boasts dedicated chassis geometry, suspension, brakes and bodywork designed specifically for supermoto riding.
The Desmo450 SM is another significant step in Ducati's expanding single cylinder Desmo family. What started with the Desmo450 MX has rapidly grown into a complete off-road range, with the Desmo250 MX and Desmo450 Enduro already joining the line-up. The SM becomes the latest addition, bringing Ducati into a segment it has never previously competed in.
Ducati says the bike has been developed with extensive input from four-time Supermoto World Champion Marc Reiner Schmidt, who has tested and raced the machine during its development programme. The production bike features model-specific suspension settings, larger front brakes, revised engine components and bodywork tailored to supermoto use.
When the bike first appeared at World Ducati Week, Ducati described it as a purpose-built machine rather than simply an off-road bike fitted with 17-inch wheels, with the company promising a package designed from the outset for the unique demands of the discipline.
With a UK price of £12,095, the Desmo450 SM sits firmly in the premium end of the supermoto market, reflecting Ducati's strategy of offering high-performance, competition-inspired machinery rather than aiming for outright affordability.
More technical details, availability and dealer information are expected as the bike approaches its UK showroom arrival.
