Clarke CML7 360kg Motorcycle Lift review

When it comes to home motorcycle workshop kit there are two things that are at the top of any biker’s wishlist – a decent tool cabinet and a hydraulic motorcycle workbench. 

And if you’re after the latter, the Clarke CML7 360kg Motorcycle Lift from Machine Mart is a great example at the very affordable price of £454.80. 

Designed for bikes up to 360kg (hence the name), its operation is simple and straightforward: just position the lowered bench in your favoured location via its castors; lock it in position with the front steady screws; push your bike onto the bench via the removable, hinged ramp; secure the front wheel in the clamp (it also comes with two tie-down eyelets for added security) and away you go! 

The bench can then be raised up to 680mm (620mm using the safety bar) via the foot pedal to give ideal access for servicing, cleaning and more without the discomfort and dirt of working from the floor. A detachable rear panel, meanwhile, allows for easy rear wheel removal. 

It’s robust, well-designed and looks great. As it folds virtually flat it can be hidden away (under your workbench or car) when not in use. And with its 360kg capacity, 1900mm length and 530mm width is big enough for most bikes. Clarke also do other workbenches capable of carrying heavier weights and longer bikes so check that the CML7 is the right one for your bike.
