Honda WN7 to be used by police in Japan
The new Honda WN7 has been revealed in a previously unseen white colourway, which is set to be used specifically by law enforcement.

Honda’s new WN7 electric motorcycle has been publicly presented in a new white colourway, which will be used by police in Japan.
The WN7, previously called EV Fun Concept prior to its official launch at November’s EICMA show, is Honda’s first full-size electric motorcycle. It is set to land in the UK with a price of £12,999, and that’s expected to happen at some time in the near future. However, it won’t be available in a paint scheme akin to this one.
The debut of these machines took place at the beginning of January as part of the 2026 Hakone Ekiden, which is an annual long-distance relay race. It takes place over two days, with runners covering around 219 km (over 136 miles) in total.
While there are many similarities between the WN7 and this new police variant, the latter weighs a reported 235 kg, which is 18 kg more than the standard model. Some of those weight gains are evident just by looking at the bike, as it features front and rear patrol lights, and a box at the rear which belongs to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

There is also specific police branding integrated above the front headlights, while this new model also receives bar-end mirrors, which is a feature it shares with the consumer-based WN7.
It’s unknown at this stage whether Honda will produce a white version of the WN7 for customers to buy, or whether it will remain a model strictly used by law enforcement. However, if Honda does opt to introduce a variant of this kind in the future, it will no doubt feature some obvious styling differences.
The standard WN7 will be available to customers in the UK in both A2 and A1 licence versions. It makes use of a liquid-cooled electric motor that’s paired with a 9.3kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack. That delivers a claimed 50kW (around 67bhp) and a 100Nm (73 lb ft) of torque.
