If you’re planning on riding a lot this winter, keeping your hands and fingers warm can now be made easier by Keis.

The heated clothing brand has revealed a new 6000 mAh 7.4V battery set which offers portable heated glove power. The new battery offers 50 per cent more capacity than the outgoing power pack, leading to extra runtime for all-day warmth.

Operating at 7.4V rather than 12V, each pack includes two 3000 mAh batteries (one for each glove), which can deliver warmth for around 6-8 hours on a low setting. That reduces to around 3-4 hours on medium, which will depend on the conditions.

A USB-C charging cable offers quick, universal recharging, while each battery features an LED indicator so that you know when it's charging, or when it's finished. If it shows red, that means it’s still charging, but when the battery turns green you’re ready to go.

According to Keis, “the batteries fit seamlessly into the designated pockets of compatible Keis gloves, including models G201, G601, G701, and G901*. The slim design ensures a comfortable fit that doesn’t compromise mobility or control”.

For riders that don’t have heated grips fitted as a standard feature on your bike, this system from Keis offers a budget-friendly alternative to keeping your mitts warm, as it does not need to be powered by the motorcycle in any way.

The new battery set is priced at £85 which includes VAT, the above-mentioned two 3000 mAh batteries and USB-C charging cable, as well as a full set of instructions.

You can find out more about the product by heading to the official Keis website.
