One of the biggest names in motorcycle intercom systems, Sena is now further expanding its motorcycle helmet range for 2026, with the new Specter lid.

Aimed specifically towards touring riders, the new smart helmet can be used in either a full face or open face thanks to its modular design.

The helmet, which received its official launch at EICMA in Milan, benefits from Sena’s Mesh 3 Intercom and “superior audio fidelity”, which should result in better accuracy, detail and minimal distortion.

According to Sena, the new Specter helmet also “redefines the touring experience by merging safety, convenience, and unparalleled sound clarity.” As part of a press release, Sena says the new helmet features Over-the-Air (OTA) updates via the Sena Motorcycles App.

The new lid has been fitted with advanced Harman Kardon Speakers and a wired boom microphone. Another key feature is its AI-Based Noise Cancellation system, which other brands such as Cardo and Schuberth have very recently introduced to a range of helmets, too.

Safety has not been forgotten about either, as the new Specter helmet comes with integrated rear running and a braking taillight to boost visibility.

The Specter is Pinlock Ready straight out of the box, and is fully certified to DOT and ECE R22.06 safety standards. Additionally, the helmet receives a Safe Power Mode feature that allows for “convenient charging from an external power bank while the helmet is in use, guaranteeing continuous connectivity on the longest routes”.

The Specter was one of many new products put on display at EICMA by Sena, which also included a raft of intercom systems and the new Outlander helmet, which has been designed for off-road riding.

As of this writing we’re still awaiting confirmation of the price for the new Specter helmet.
